Some Tottenham fans single one player out for heavy criticism after Watford
Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to social media in their droves on Saturday afternoon, to take aim at a key member of the club’s squad.
Sanchez at the death
Antonio Conte’s men of course marked their return to action a short time ago.
On the back of a disappointing 1-1 stalemate with Southampton in midweek, the Lilywhites made the trip to Vicarage Road to take on relegation-battling Watford, eyeing a swift return to winning ways.
And, when all was said and done on Saturday, this is precisely what Spurs managed.
An altogether underwhelming display ultimately culminated in the capital giants emerging on the right side of a 1-0 scoreline, owing to a late, late header on the part of Davinson Sanchez.
With a full 96 minutes on the clock, Heung-min Son’s devilish set-piece delivery from the left saw stopper Sanchez rise highest, to nod confidently beyond Daniel Bachmann, and secure all three points for the visitors in the process:

Emerson slammed
As alluded to above, however, despite their side, in the end, securing what could prove to be a crucial three points, the Tottenham faithful have not been shy in making their frustrations with one player in particular clear on the back of the full-time whistle at Vicarage Road.
The individual in question? Emerson Royal.
Amid a host of sub-par individual performances on Saturday, Emerson left Spurs’ supporters livid time and time again, owing to one of the worst displays of crossing from the right flank imaginable.
In turn, the post-match backlash has been predictably ruthless, with just some of the highlights from across social media showcased below:
Literally pointless giving the ball to Emerson Royale he is appalling #WATTOT

Emerson Royal is so bad. My guy can’t put one decent ball into the box.

@SpursOfficial I’m just saying our wing backs are not good enough for this system. Woeful service is killing our attacking. Not one decent cross from about 50 attempts. Emerson Royale refuses to take on his man…cuts back everytime

Emerson Royal has got such terrible end product. Not one single good cross. #WATTOT

Never seen a full back cross a ball more in a game and find no one as many times as Emerson has today. Got to be about 20 crosses #thfc

COME ON! big three points. Played awful today and it really highlighted just how bad Emerson’s delivery is. #WATTOT #THFC
