Some Norwich fans take aim at Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour during match with explicit chant
Crystal Palace vs Norwich
Norwich City played out their latest clash on Tuesday afternoon.
The Canaries faced a trip to Crystal Palace, looking to put an end to their awful run of form, which saw them sitting bottom of the Premier League with just two wins to their name.
Norwich also kicked off against Palace as the lowest scorers in the Premier League and as the side with the second-worst defence in the division, only behind Newcastle.
However, after being pummelled by a previously out of form Crystal Palace, Norwich are now joint with the Magpies for the worst defence in the league.
When the full-time whistle blew at Selhurst Park, goals from Odsonne Edouard, Jean-Phillippe Mateta and Jeffrey Schlupp ensured that Patrick Vieira and co. came away with a resounding 3-0 win.
Norwich, meanwhile, were not able to score a single goal against the Eagles, leaving them firmly planted to the bottom of the PL and relegation now looking a dead cert.
Chelsea’s Billy Gilmour targeted
During the game, Norwich fans would let their frustrations be known be turning one of their own players.
The player in question? Billy Gilmour, who is currently on loan from Chelsea for the season.
Gilmour had a stellar breakout year or so under Frank Lampard, but fell out of favour under Thomas Tuchel before being shipped off to Norwich.
Now though, Norwich fans have seemingly turned on the midfielder, chanting ‘F**k off back to Chelsea’ during the Palace loss.
