Sevilla set asking price for Arsenal-linked En-Nesyri
Reports stemming from Spain suggest that Sevilla have named their asking price for striker, Youssef En-Nesyri.
Arsenal linked with En-Nesyri
Said news will likely come as boost to Arsenal, who have been linked with the striker of late.
The Gunners currently have a number of striking options on their books. However, the majority could certainly be improved upon.
Alexandre Lacazette has been used as Arsenal’s main no.9 under Mikel Arteta. However, the Frenchman’s form is often inconsistent. He is also 30 and, most importantly, out of contract next summer.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is another experienced option at centre-forward, but he generally performs best on the left-wing.
This leaves the inexperienced trio of Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun.
As a result, it was not too surprising to see it recently reported that the Gunners will try to sign a forward in the winter window, and that the position will be prioritised over a midfielder.
This was followed by a report which stated that Arsenal’s interest in Youssef En-Nesyri continues to grow, and the Gunners may decide to include Lacazette in future negotiations for the Moroccan:
🚨🔃 #Arsenal‘s interest in #EnNesyri continues to grow 🇲🇦. #Gunners, after asking #Sevilla for information, may decide to include #Lacazette in a future negotiation. Evaluations in progress. 🐓⚽ #Calciomercato #Transfers #EPL #Liga https://t.co/Wcj0sQ4QUB

Sevilla set asking price for En-Nesyri
Now, as mentioned above, Sevilla’s asking price for the Arsenal-linked star has reportedly been revealed.
As per Goal, citing Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal and West Ham have both been credited with an interest in the striker.
They add that Sevilla have set their asking price for En-Nesyri, who could be lured away from Spain if Sevilla receive a bid in the region of £38.5m.
The 24-year-old has scored three and assisted one in six La Liga ties this term. Is he an upgrade on Arsenal’s current crop of strikers?
