Sergio Aguero facing lengthy spell out of action as Barcelona confirm treatment plan
La Liga giants Barcelona have, on Monday, confirmed that summer arrival Sergio Aguero is facing a considerable spell on the sidelines.
Kun concerns
The name of Argentine hitman Aguero has of course taken centre stage in the media over the last 48 hours.
This, unfortunately, though, has come for altogether concerning reasons.
First, during Barcelona’s La Liga meeting with Alaves on Saturday night, the 33-year-old, in from the off, went to ground in alarming fashion off the ball, seemingly struggling for breath whilst clutching his chest:
Concerning scenes near the end of the first half at Camp Nou, but thankfully Sergio Aguero was able to leave the pitch without the need for a stretcher 🙏

In turn, Aguero was hauled from the field of play, before being taken to a nearby hospital.
On the back of the 1-1 stalemate coming to a close, the Blaugrana subsequently confirmed that the former Manchester City star had reported ‘an episode of chest discomfort’, resulting in a round of cardiac tests.
Ensuing updates in Spanish media on Sunday, meanwhile, pointed towards such examinations not exactly giving rise to the desired outcome, amid claims that Aguero was suffering with an arrhythmia of the heart:

Spell on the sidelines
And now, 24 hours later, an official breakdown of the situation has been provided by Barca themselves.
In a post across the club’s social media platforms, the stuttering La Liga heavyweights confirmed that Aguero will not be permitted to take to the pitch for the next three months.
This comes with the Argentine set to undergo a lengthy ‘diagnostic and therapeutic process’, under the watch of Dr. Josep Brugada.
From here, the ‘effectiveness of treatment’ will be watched closely, with the outcome likely to determine exactly when Aguero is granted a return to first-team duties at the Camp Nou:
