The waiting is seemingly over for Newcastle fans across the northeast of England and around the globe as the club are edging ever-so-close to the 14-year reign of Mike Ashley coming to an end.

A Saudi-backed consortium – involving British businesswoman Amanda Staveley – has leapt over the final hurdle needing negotiating before a purchasing of the club could go ahead.
SkySports, the Guardian, the Times, and the Telegraph are all reporting the breaking news surrounding the takeover, which is set to end a protracted tussle which lasted 18-months surrounding piracy issues in Saudi Arabia.

As a result, terms have been agreed with BeIN Sports after the Saudi government lifted a long-standing ban on the broadcast network in the country while promising to tackle the issue of piracy head on.
BeIN will now be able to broadcast Premier League, UEFA, and FIFA matches in the middle eastern nation, and that single development has left the door wide open for hated owner Mike Ashley to finally sell Newcastle for a reported figure of a little over £300million.
It is widely expected that an agreement between Ashley and the Saudi-backed consortium will be reached in as little the next 24-hours, meaning that the club can maneuver with a position of strength starting in the January transfer window but certainly next summer.
