A social media user has mocked Sarkodie for setting his sights high on the Grammys but has not gained a nomination before let alone win it.
Identified as Prínce Dhopekid Gh on Facebook, the netizen made the comment while he was making a contribution on the social media page of Hip Hop Ville on Facebook.
The guy dropped his observation when the popular page made a similar comment about Nigerian singer 9ice who made almost the same proclamation in his 2007 song ‘Street Credibility.
Hip Hop Ville shared a dapper photo of 9ice and wrote;
“No doubt me, I go bring you Grammy”.#9ice was the first Nigerian artiste to sing about winning a Grammy award on his 2007 single “Street Credibility”.15 years later, he hasn’t gotten a nomination, let alone winning the award.All the same, he’s a great artiste!
