SAPS investigate into the murder of Nyanga CPF Chairperson’s brother
On Sunday Bongani Makasi (31) was gunned down while he was sitting among his friends in Zwelitsha
Police are probing into what caused the murder of the chairperson of Nyanga Community Policing Forum (CPF).
On Sunday Bongani Makasi (31) was gunned down while he was sitting among his friends in Zwelitsha.
So far, no arrests have been done.
Makasi mentioned that his brother received gunshots seven times and got bullet wounds to his head and four to his lower torso.
“Upon arriving there, I saw that he has passed on. I immediately contacted the police, which was a difficult thing to do because I could not get hold of the police.”
Makasi said they were able to reach out to the police who got to the scene to investigate the scene.
“The people that were sitting with him could not explain what the motive could be and what surprised us was, out of the five or six people that were inside the shack, he was the only one that was shot. None of the other people were injured or anything.”
The SAPS has beckoned on anyone with tangible information about the Sunday incident to contact the police.
