Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X AI image editor is coming to the S23 series

Samsung has finally released the Galaxy Enhance-X photo editing app for the Galaxy S23 series. The application has been operational on the Galaxy S22 trio since last summer.

The app is an “enhanced and magical photo editor” that uses AI to add HDR to images, brighten them, fix blur, sharpen, fix moiré, remove highlights or shadows, fix image distortion, lens and create a portrait mode shot from a normal photo. There are also face retouching features.

There’s also a magic button that enhances an image as the app sees fit.

The app is available for the Galaxy S23 series from today – it’s an 85MB download from the Galaxy Store. It will eventually come to all the Galaxies, powerful enough to make it work.

We’ve tried it and it does a good job, if very subtle. However, for the life of us, we couldn’t find a way to scale a 1600x720px image to a larger size.
