Samsung’s next foldables have appeared in past leaks suggesting design and camera information, but now we have some Geekbench listings that tell a bit more about its core specs and performance.

First spotted by GalaxyClub.nl, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 appear to use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is also currently used in Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 was listed with model number SM-F731U, while the larger Galaxy Z Fold 5 was listed with model number SM-F946U. From the model numbers and Samsung’s naming convention, it’s clear that these are the US models of the devices.

The site also states that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has 8 GB of RAM on the model tested, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 seems to have 12 GB of RAM. Although both smartphones use the same processor, their respective clock speeds indicate that Samsung is opting for the customized version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which has a higher clock speed than the standard SoC.
