Samsung Galaxy S23 family will launch on February 1

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series has been leaking a lot lately, which naturally makes us think that the official reveal is just around the corner. And today, that is exactly what seems to have been confirmed.

According to not one, but two generally reliable tipsters/leakers, the unveiling of the Galaxy S23 family will take place on February 1st. That’s eight days earlier than the introduction of the S22 models last year, and Ice Universe and @OnLeaks agree on the date. While this of course doesn’t serve as an official confirmation, if it’s accurate, we expect Samsung to issue the official invitations for the event in the coming days or weeks, and we’ll let you know when that happens.

The Galaxy S23 was recently spotted on Geekbench another time. All S23 devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a notable change for people who live in markets where only Exynos models were previously sold. In fact, Europe might even get an exclusive slightly overclocked version of the chipset, if past rumors and leaks are confirmed.
