Samsung Electronics Opens the Odyssey Universe, a New Gaming Experience Inspired by the Odyssey Line of Monitors – Samsung Global Newsroom

A new custom map created in Fortnite, inspired by the industry-leading Odyssey lineup, debuts on March 23, along with live Twitch streams and rewards in a treasure hunt event

Samsung Electronics has announced the release of the Odyssey Universe, a new custom map created for players to experience Fortnite,¹ based on Samsung’s Odyssey series of high-end monitors.

The Odyssey universe is a new gaming experience expressing how the industry-leading Samsung Odyssey line of monitors helps gamers deliver on the promise of next-gen gaming.

“We are pleased to present the Odyssey’s personalized gaming experience and fun in one of the most popular games in the world.” said Hoon Chung, executive vice president of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to introduce the industry-leading Odyssey line and raise awareness of our gaming monitors with exciting new experiences and events.”

The Odyssey universe presents each space inspired by the main product name of the Odyssey range. The new permanent map is divided into 5 spaces, each inspired by and representing an industry-leading entry into the Odyssey line of monitors. These range from the Level Ark, which is derived from the “Odyssey Ark” offering a new frontier of immersion with the large 55-inch screen, to the Level G9∙G8∙G7∙G6 in line with products such as Odyssey Neo G9 and G8. Each space will have its own mission to complete, with a variety of objectives and rewards during gameplay.

Tune in to the early days of the Odyssey universe on Twitch

To kick off the release of Odyssey Universe, players can tune in to some of their favorite streamers to see the maps in action on the official Samsung Odyssey Twitch channel with the following streamers:

Streamers will show off the new map’s exciting gameplay, tell viewers how they can explore the map on their own, and how they can get exclusive deals on Odyssey monitors.

Take part in the Odyssey Universe treasure hunt

The fun doesn’t stop even after the stream ends. Until March 29, players have one more reason to dive into the Odyssey universe beyond the exciting map gameplay. Players can participate in the “Scavenger Hunt” event to explore the Odyssey Universe map and find answers hidden in each of the spaces. Once players find the answers, they can submit them on the Odyssey Universe event website to be entered into a prize draw. Contest winners will receive Odyssey gaming monitors and will be announced on the Samsung Odyssey Twitch channel on March 30 at 7 p.m. EST.
