Saas Bahu aur Flamingo Web Series with Dimple Kapadia releases May 5 on Disney+ Hotstar
Actress Dimple Kapadia spares no effort to impress the audience with her acting skills. After her stellar performance in ‘Pathaan’, she is now set to deliver a new web series titled ‘Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo’. Directed by Homi Adajania, the project will also feature Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. Produced by Maddock Films (Dinesh Vijan), “Saas Bahu aur Flamingo” will be released on May 5 on Disney+ Hotstar.
The series is billed as a new take on the “saas-bahu” drama subgenre that typically explores the power dynamics between tough, ruthless stepmothers and softer stepdaughters. ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo’ will feature a ‘shameless’ mother-in-law and ‘steadfast and fearsome’ younger women.
Enthusiastic about the project, Dimple Kapadia said, “Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo is the story of what makes ordinary people extraordinary in a world full of passion and chaos. It’s a group of badass women who tell a tale that’s often only played out by men. characters and trust me there are some of the most colorful characters you will ever see. The show is as wild as the mind of my mad director Homi Adajania. He flipped a family drama on its head by giving us such an engrossing watch that will come to Disney+ Hotstar.”
The creators also unveiled Dimple Kapadia’s first look in which she is seen holding a gun and shooting someone. The series will also feature Ashish Verma, Varun Mitra, Udit Arora, Deepak Dobriyal and Monica Dogra in key roles.
Homi Adajania also shared some details about the project: “Remember the phrase ‘Hell has no fury like a despised woman’? When the world despised these women and turned their backs on them, they learn to thrive creating their own system of morality in a daring, lawless place they call home Women are the evolved half of our messed up species and Saas Bahu aur Flamingo is the craziest world I have to date created. Its characters are so beautifully complex and contradictory, navigating their way through a world of passion, manipulation and chaos,” he shared.
