Robert Lewandowski set to swap Bayern for Barcelona and has already informed Bayern CEO
Bayern Munich star hitman Robert Lewandowski is set to leave the club this summer, swapping the Allianz Arena for the Camp Nou, according to Polish media.
Lewandowski has been the best forward in world football for the last 5 years, firing in 340 goals in 369 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit since he moved from Borussia Dortmund to Bavaria on a free transfer in 2014.
And this season there has been no let-up, with the Polish striker scoring an impressive 32 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances, as well as 12 goals in 9 Champions League outings to date.

But, it could be the end of the happy union between Lewa and Bayern Munich this summer, with talks over a new contract not having been opened and his current deal expiring in 2023.
When asked about the situation in March, the agent of the 33 year old striker told Kicker ‘I can confirm there hasn’t been any contact with FC Bayern yet [over a new contract]’. This has left Barcelona exploring their options.

Lewandowski to Barcelona in the works
And now, as per Polish outlet TVSport, the veteran forward is set to sign a contract with Barcelona this summer.
‘As we have established, Lewandowski will not sign a new contract with Bayern. We learned from the close circle of the player that the striker had already communicated with Barcelona’, the report claims.
Meanwhile, he has allegedly informed the Bayern CEO, former goalkeeping great Oliver Kahn, of his plans.
‘The Pole informed Oliver Kahn about his decision . Bayern authorities already know that “Lewy” will start a relationship with a new employer’, they add.
Should he join Xavi and co. at the Nou Camp, he would be making history as the first Polish player in the club’s history. Whether or not the clubs can agree a fee, however, remains to be seen.
