Mahrez claims surface

Sensational claims allegedly made by Riyad Mahrez hit the headlines yesterday, with the Algerian on international duty. First reported in The Sun, Speaking to French outlet Canal+, Mahrez is quoted as saying:

The lads at City don’t watch other teams’ matches on TV. They don’t give a s*** about them.

“Plenty of times in the dressing-room I’ve heard certain others asking: ‘What happened in the game last night?’

“I don’t know what to say. It could be the Champions League semi-final.

Mahrez hits back

Taking to twitter, the Manchester City winger has hit back at these claims, however. Quoting an outlet reporting the news, he tweeted:

“Never said this or anything close to this”
