Rio Ferdinand outlines key quality Arsenal duo showed against Leicester
Arsenal up to 6th
Arsenal and Leicester City would go head-to-head at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners headed into the game on a fine run of form, but were set to face perhaps their toughest opponent since a resurgence following the September international break.
This, though, did not stop Mikel Arteta’s side from securing a 2-0 lead at the King Power before the break, thanks to efforts from Gabriel and Emile Smith Rowe:

Leicester would eventually grow into the tie, and did cause Arsenal some issues, especially in the second 45.
However, a world-class display on the part of Aaron Ramsdale ensured that the Foxes could not find a breakthrough.
And, when all was said and done, said victory would move Arsenal up to 6th in the Premier League table, just three points behind 3rd place Manchester City at present.
What Lacazette and Aubameyang showed against Leicester
Now, following Arsenal’s win over Leicester, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has been discussing the Gunners.
When doing so, Ferdinand opted to single out two stars in particular for praise.
Those players were Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who Ferdinand stated showed leadership against the Foxes:
“There was an element of control about it there for the first 25-30 minutes.
“What I liked about the team was I saw a humbleness in Aubameyang and Lacazette in the way that they played. They got back into a system.
“Again, they got back into a structure and they played for that team and led by example. I think they’ve lacked that leadership on the pitch when I’ve watched them at times and them two for me showed that in that game.”
