Richard Iyasere (born 22 August 1968) at Urhonigbe, professionally known as DaddyRich or Enogie, is a veteran historical musicologist, dance choreographer , activist and a New York based politician. He is a board member of Community boards of the Bronx. In 2014, he was honored as Africa diaspora hero by Bill de Blasio.He is a pioneer and creator of a cosmopolitan popular dance “Akwete dance” for Akwete music genre, also known as Edo Funk prominently performed worldwide by Sir Victor Uwaifo.

Richard Iyasere has collaborated with musicians like Oritse Femi, Sir, Professor Victor Uwaifo, Amb Osayomore Joseph, Fabomo, Influence Akaba, Flavour N’abania, and others as a historical musicologist and a veteran dance choreographer. In early 1980, he became known for his particular traditional “Akwete dance style” a dance style inspired by Akwete music genre, also known as Edo Funk music genre, He popularized the Edo Funk music genre sub category “Akwete music” around Europe and America. In 1981, Richard’s Akwete dance style gained popularity within the cosmopolitan, the dance style brought more success and recognition to Akwete Music genre”, he is the founder of a New york based entertainment company DaddyRich Productions, which he used in promoting the Edo Funk musicians from Edo state . In the year 1996-1999, he continued his education at Bronx Community College ( The City University of New York – Bronx Community College)
