Revealed: The five players in line to depart Tottenham & Antonio Conte’s primary target for deadline day
A fresh insight into the deadline day plans of Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur has been provided late on Sunday evening.
The info comes courtesy of Darren Lewis of The Mirror, who suggests that as many as five members of Antonio Conte’s ranks are ‘expected’ to be moved on before the winter transfer window slams shut in 24 hours’ time.
Those tipped to depart? Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Dele Alli, Matt Doherty and Steven Bergwijn.
On the incomings front, meanwhile, Lilywhites boss Conte is understood to have shelved plans to reinforce the heart of his backline until the summer, to instead focus attentions on adding to another area of his squad – right-wing-back.
This comes with the aforementioned Doherty in line to depart, and summer arrival Emerson Royal continuing to struggle in his efforts to adapt to the English game.
Last up, Spurs have been offered the chance to land soon-to-be out-of-contract Barcelona wide-man Ousmane Dembele, but opted against launching an assault, owing to the Frenchman’s hefty wage demands.

Juve pair on the way
Two players, on the other hand, who do appear set to see their respective moves to north London made official at any moment come in the form of Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.
Mounting reports over the course of the day have assured that an agreement over the terms of a double deal for the Juventus pair has been reached.
Midfielder Bentancur is expected to link up with Antonio Conte’s squad on a permanent basis, whilst versatile wide-man Kulusevski will do so on loan, with the obligation to buy once certain conditions are met.
