Redmi India’s Twitter account has recently been very busy talking about the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Both, it was confirmed yesterday, will launch in India on January 5. But there’s also an entry-level model, which was announced alongside these two in China in October.

We are of course talking about the Redmi Note 12, and until now it was unclear whether it would make the trip from China to India alongside its siblings. The good news is that it will. And while there isn’t much Twitter airtime, Redmi has created a comprehensive microsite for its India launch, which you can access here.

It focuses on a few key features of the future device, chief among which is 5G support. The AMOLED display also gets a shout out, including a hint that it’ll be brighter than what we’ve seen in past non-Pros Redmi Note. A Snapdragon chipset is also teased, along with support for 33W wired charging and a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP sensor. Last but not least, did you know that this will be the thinnest Redmi Note ever?
