Redmi K60 series leak indices on Redmi K60, K60 Pro, K60E variants; Can be launched in December

The Redmi K60 series, the expected successor to the company’s Redmi K50 line, has been the subject of several leaks and rumors ahead of its launch in China. The latest leaks have placed the launch schedule for the upcoming phones towards the end of the month. Details shared on Chinese social networking website Weibo suggest that the Redmi K60 series will be released in China later in December. This comes after the Redmi K60 series was reportedly launched in January next year. The next series is expected to include the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E.
According to a Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K60 series could be days away from launch and is expected to debut in China later in December. The post states that the Redmi K60 series should be the “performance king” in all three price segments.
The latest leak hints at the alleged January launch schedule, just before the Chinese New Year. Previous reports indicated that Redmi has adjusted the release window for January due to delays in announcing the Xiaomi 13 series.
Earlier leaks on the specs of the upcoming phones have given an idea of what is expected from the Redmi K60 series. According to MIUI writer Polska Kacper Skrzypek, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro and K60E are expected being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and an unnamed MediaTek SoC, respectively. The Redmi K60E, however, was later spotted on Geekbench, with a Snapdragon 870 SoC.
The vanilla Redmi K60 features a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display, with a 120Hz refresh rate. The K60 is also designed to sport a triple rear camera setup, including a 64 main sensor megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
The Redmi K60 was also spotted on China’s 3C certification website, which hinted at the handset supporting 67W fast charging.
