Redmi A2 fully leaked ahead of imminent launch

Xiaomi is planning a sequel to last year’s Redmi A1 with the aptly named Redmi A2. The upcoming budget device got its official images and detailed specs shared ahead of the official announcement by WinFuture.

Redmi A2 will bring a mostly unchanged design from its predecessor with a waterdrop notch display and dual camera setup on the back. The new bit is the chipset – the phone is said to be launching with MediaTek’s new Helio G36 chipset. The rest of the technical sheet is taken from the Redmi A1.

You can expect a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which should be expandable. The back is expected to house an 8MP primary camera and an unspecified secondary AI module. The software side will be covered by Android 13 (Go Edition) while the battery is expected to reach 5,000mAh with 10W charging support on the dated microUSB port.
