Redmi 12C specifications, design ahead of the world debut; Could get a 6.71-inch screen: Report

Redmi 12C, which launched in China last year, is expected to make its global debut soon. Ahead of an official announcement from the company regarding the smartphone, a poster reportedly revealed the design and some of the key features of the Redmi 12C. The handset is expected to arrive with a 6.71-inch screen, a powerful speaker, powered by a 5,000mAh battery. The design of the phone features a dual rear AI camera setup with an LED flashlight. The color variants were also leaked via the poster.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has share the Redmi 12C poster on Twitter previewing the design and specs of the smartphone ahead of its global launch. The upcoming smartphone comes in four color variants: Black, Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender. The phone is expected to feature a rear dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel AI camera, placed alongside an LED flash. The poster hints that the phone will come with an anti-slip and minimalist design.

On top of that, the phone might be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and teased to get a battery capacity of 5,000mAh. The Redmi 12C Global variant is said to come with a 6.71-inch display, 3-year smooth experience, memory expansion, loud speaker, and rear fingerprint sensor.

A previous report shared that the phone will pack up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Redmi 12C was already launched in China last year with a 6.71-inch HD+ display (1650 x 720 pixels). The Chinese variant comes with an aspect ratio of 20:6:9 and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The phone sports a 5-megapixel front camera and a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor. It looks like the global Redmi 12C variant will have most of the similar features to its Chinese variant.

The Redmi 12C in China comes with eMMC 5.1 flash memory and expandable memory up to 512 GB via microSD card. The phone is available in four different colors: Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green and Lavender in China.
