Real Madrid fans send Coutinho message to Brazil boss Tite after Vinicius Jr’s brace
Supporters of Spanish giants Real Madrid have taken to social media on Saturday afternoon, to take aim at Brazil national team boss Tite.
Vini at the double
Carlo Ancelotti’s men made their return to action in today’s early kick-off.
After slipping off the pace of the La Liga summit owing to a disappointing 0-0 stalemate with Osasuna in midweek, Los Blancos made the trip to the Estadio Martínez Valero, eyeing a bounce-back result against relegation-battling Elche.
And, when all was said and done in Alicante, secure a swift return to winning ways is precisely what Real managed.
A largely comfortable day’s work, made unnecessarily complicated late on by a defensive mixup culminating in an Elche consolation, ultimately played out into a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
The in-form Vinicius Jr. proved the star of the show, netting both of Real’s goals to take his tally to an impressive nine across all competitions over the early months of the campaign:
The tighter the angle, the easier the finish for Vinicius! 😱

Tite targeted
In turn, on the back of the action coming to a close at the Martinez Valero, it should come as little surprise to hear that it is the name of Vinicius which has since taken centre stage online.
As outlined above, however, for many a Blancos fan, it is not only the latest scintillating display on the part of their gifted young wide-man which has proven the topic of conversation.
After Vinicius took up the attacking mantle in such impressive fashion in the absence of Karim Benzema on Saturday, the Real faithful, in their droves, have moved to question the decision-making of Brazil boss Tite.
The latest Selecao squad for the nation’s upcoming round of World Cup qualifiers was of course announced a little over 24 hours ago.
And, despite his scintillating opening to the campaign, ‘Vini’ was nowhere to be seen. Handed a surprise call-up, on the other hand, though, was struggling Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
As a result, on the back of the former’s latest match-winning display, the Twitter backlash has been a sight to behold on Saturday, with just some of the highlights showcased below:
