Manchester United stutter to draw against Young Boys
Having already won their Champions League group, Ralf Rangnick made 11 changes to the side that beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League, handing starts to the likes of Amad Diallo, Anthony Elanga, Donny Van de Beek and Dean Henderson as he heavily rotated his squad.

It was Mason Greenwood that handed the Red Devils the lead in the opening stages with an acrobatic finish, only for Fabien Reider to curl in an equaliser from outside the box on the stroke of half time.
The second half brought with it Young Boys dominance, but they could not convert their chances, and Rangnick used the dying embers of the game to continue to ring the changes, handing three players their Manchester United debuts.

But, ultimately, it was a disappointing draw.

Rangnick reveals what annoyed him in the game
Speaking after the game, new boss Rangnick revealed what left him annoyed during the game, and unsurprisingly for the man dubbed the Godfather of Gegenpressing, it was to do with their workrate.
Rangnick claimed:
“What annoyed me most was the way we played to the pressing first line, so we sent quite a few pressing invitations to them, including the goal we conceded. We had the chance to not only clear the ball but play the ball forward twice but we didn’t.”

Worse yet, he accused the Red Devils of playing like they had under Solskjaer, a damning indictment given their form under the previous manager.
