It has already confirmed that the brand’s next smartphone will debut in two RAM and storage options – 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.

Himanshu Tandon took to Twitter on Thursday to hint on Poco’s next handset. He described the upcoming handset in five words beginning with the letter “F” as fast, refined, fearless, fantastic and futuristic. This could be a reference to the Poco F5.

Earlier in the day he teased the RAM and storage configuration of the Poco F5 without confirming the nickname. He confirmed that the upcoming Poco smartphone will come in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants.

Recently, a Poco smartphone said to be the Poco F5 with model number 23013PC75G appeared on the Geekbench website with 1,118 points in single-core test and 4,236 points in multi-core test. The listing suggested Android 13, 8GB RAM and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC on the next phone.

The Poco F5 5G is expected to succeed the Poco F4 5G in India. It is supposed to debut as a renamed version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. If this rumor has any weight, then the specs of the Poco F5 5G could be identical to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo was launched in China in March with a starting price of CNY 1,999 (around Rs 23,900) for the base variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, 64-megapixel triple rear cameras, a 16 megapixels and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging are the handset’s other specs.
