PlayStation Plus Deal: Extra & Deluxe Tiers With 40% Off For 3, 12 Month Plans

PlayStation Plus is getting a discount for all subscribers through Friday, January 13. Subscription fees for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium multi-month plans and above are reduced by up to 40%. But there’s a catch – the price reductions only apply to the three-month and 12-month plans. Existing PS Plus Essential/Extra users can upgrade their subscription with a 30% savings. You’ll have to pay for the rest of the subscription period, which can last several years if you’ve stacked it. Meanwhile, new PS Plus users can enjoy 34% off PS Plus Deluxe/Premium plans and 40% off PS Plus Extra plans.

Of course, all PS Plus subscriptions come with a seven-day trial period. PS Plus is subject to recurring charges that are automatically debited until cancelled, so if you’re unhappy during the trial period, be sure to cancel it in time.

But wait, what are the differences between the three PS Plus tiers available in India? The basic tier, which grants a few free games each month and access to online multiplayer, doesn’t get a discount. PS Plus Essential starts at Rs. 499 per month.

The mid-tier “Extra” gets a flat 40% discount on its three- and 12-month plans, with the former costing Rs. 1,199, after which the price goes up to Rs. 1,999 every three months. Meanwhile, the 12-month PS Plus Extra plan now costs Rs. 2,999, which after a year goes up to Rs. 4,999. In this tier, you get all the benefits of the PS Plus Essential plan, in addition to monthly game catalog, cloud storage, access to PS5 game help, and other exclusive content. For the record, a one-month PS Plus Extra subscription costs Rs. 749, making this offer irresistible.

Next up is the PS Plus Deluxe plan, which usually starts at Rs. 849 per month with no discount. The discount here is the aforementioned 34%, with the three-month subscription now costing Rs. 1,499, down from Rs. 2,299. Meanwhile, the one-year PS Plus Deluxe plan is now listed at Rs. 3 749, slashing the expensive Rs. 5,749 price. The top tier includes all the benefits of the previous two plans and adds a Classics catalog, bringing timeless games to the platform, plus a trial play feature.

PS Plus Free Games January 2023

Earlier this month, Sony revealed the three free games coming to all PS Plus plans in January. Until February 6, members of all PS Plus levels can add space Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from EA, Bethesda’s first multiplayer project, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2, an 8-bit adventure in which you explore a sprawling ancient alien world, at their library of games.

Sony-owned PlayStation has yet to announce the January 2023 catalog additions for the PS Plus Extra and Deluxe tiers – expect them around the middle of the month, as is usually the case.

PlayStation Plus subscription in India starts at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for the Extra plan, and Rs. 849 per month for the top-tier Deluxe. For a limited time, existing members can get a flat 30% discount on upgrades, and new members can get 34 and 40% discount, respectively, for Deluxe and Extra plans of three and 12 months.
