Sunday’s late Premier League kick-off played out a short time ago. Said clash saw Arsenal taken on Leicester City at the Emirates.
After Manchester United beat Tottenham on Sunday, Arsenal headed into the game knowing they needed a victory to ensure they moved back into the top-four.
And when all was said and done in north London, Arsenal would pick up a comfortable 2-0 win.
Arsenal dominated from the get-go and took the lead after 11 minutes when Thomas Partey headed in from a Gabriel Martinelli corner.
Partey time at the Emirates! 🎉
Woeful defending from Leicester but just reward for Arsenal, who have got off to a flyer! 💥

Arsenal player ratings
Aaron Ramsdale (7) – Produced a great save to deny Harvey Barnes after 35 minutes. Made a few more decent saves throughout the match.
Cedric (6.5) – Not his best game but did not do an awful lot wrong.
Ben White (7) – Made a key tackle to prevent an almost certain goal 25 minutes in.
Gabriel (6.5) – Helped keep Iheanacho quiet, continuing to form a great partnership with Ben White.
Kieran Tierney (6) – Did little of note but also didn’t do much wrong.
Thomas Partey (9) – A superb performance from Partey, scored after 11 minutes and went on to cause more issues for Leicester going forward – including helping win a penalty . He was also solid defensively.
Granit Xhaka (6.5) – A decent if unspectacular performance from Xhaka.
Martin Odegaard (8.5) – Another excellent showing from the Norwegian. He dictated play with his clever passing and brilliant ball control. Was a nightmare for Leicester defenders to deal with.
Gabriel Marinelli (6.5) – Provided the assist for Partey’s opener, whipping in a great cross. Taken off after 77 minutes.
Bukayo Saka (6) – A fairly quiet game from the winger who struggled to get past Luke Thomas.
Alexandre Lacazette (7.5) – Not as effective as he was vs Watford but still helped link play well. Scored the penalty for Arsenal’s second.
Subs
Emile Smith Rowe (4) – Not the most impactful sub appearance.
Pepe (N/A) – Only on for the final six minutes.
Eddie Nketiah (N/A) – Only on the pitch for a few minutes.
Leicester City player ratings
Kasper Schmeichel (5) – Not much he could have done about Arsenal’s two goals.
Ricardo Pereira (4.5) – Should have marked Partey better for the opener. Taken off after 61 minutes.
Daniel Amartey (5) – A very passive display from Amartey. Wesley Fofana’s return cannot come quick enough for Leicester.
Caglar Soyuncu (3) – Gave away a penalty by handballing a Partey header.
Luke Thomas (5.5) – Poor marking of Partey for his opener but then cleared another header from the African off the line.
Nampalys Mendy (4) – Struggled to deal with the threat of Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard. Was taken off after an hour.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (4.5) – Lost the battle in midfield on the day.
James Maddison (5) – Not Maddison’s best display of late, passing was decent but didn’t cause Arsenal too many issues.
Marc Albrighton (5) – Tried to create an opening with a number of crosses but was largely unsuccessful.
Harvey Barnes (5) – Came close to scoring with a header in the first half which was saved well. Did little else of note after that.
Kelechi Iheanacho (3) – Was isolated up top and had little impact on the game. Taken off after 73 minutes.
Subs
James Justin (5) – Slightly better than Pereira on the day.
Wilfred Ndidi (6) – Helped Leicester gain more control in midfield, probably should have started.
Patson Daka (3) – Did little of note whilst on the pitch.
