Picture of alleged Manchester United team meal order sends fans crazy on social media
Manchester United out for team meal
A photo of Manchester United’s order for their preseason team meal has surfaced online on Thursday, raising more than a few eyebrows.
The Red Devils have just over one week to wait before they kick off their new season, hosting north-west rivals Leeds United on the opening day of the 2021-22 campaign.
Currently, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are in Fife, Scotland, and met in a Dundee restaurant called Brooks for their evening meal.
Clearly, due to the size of their party, they had pre-ordered. However, a copy of their pre-order made its way onto Twitter, and Manchester United and rival fans alike tore into the players choices with glee.

As can be seen above, the players had a choice of a starter, main course and dessert, in addition to sides of their choice.
Star man Bruno Fernandes opted for goats cheese, followed by Steak (medium) and a sticky toffee pudding, accompanied with sides of Sweet potato fries, Halloumi and Spinach.
Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard went for a plain Cheeseburger, while fellow England international Mason Greenwood went for a well-done steak, causing the young forward to trend on twitter.
Twitter reacts
Fans took to twitter to express their surprise, disappointment and shock at the players’ meal choices, much of which focused on Greenwood’s choices.
Mason Greenwood has steak well done? 😰 Ship him out on loan to Watford for that lads. https://t.co/6utb6H9bjs

May as well sell Mason Greenwood now and be done with it after ordering a well done fillet steak 🤯 https://t.co/rQyj10U9R4

Five-game ban for Mason Greenwood for requesting a well done steak. Luke Shaw is also a lunatic. https://t.co/4RUwgQCHhY

People were also quick to pick upon Luke Shaw’s order, with the England full-back having already come under fire from former boss Jose Mourinho over his weight.
A lot to unpack, including Luke Shaw’s order of “normal” bread, fries & chips with his burger, but Lee Grant having (gk) included on a pre-order is wonderful. https://t.co/Tm0103SPyh

Luke Shaw an easy target over the #mufc players’ menu leak. His fitness wasn’t an issue when he was their best player last season. Professionalism much improved and Shaw quarantined for part of his three-week holiday. He was back for pre-season training more promptly than others.

Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard was also under the microscope:

Everyone questioning Mason for having a well done steak with halloumi whilst completely ignoring the fact that Lingard has a Cheeseburger with a single slice of cheese and nothing else as his main dish https://t.co/tZ6lGwlyT5

With the strict diets that surround footballers for much of the year, including pasta at 9am and cramming down food post match, it is perhaps unsurprising that when offered the chance, the players opt to let their hair down.
