Pharmacist arrested for taking young woman to his house in Kano
A pharmacist identified as Yahaya Zakari has been arrested by the Kano Hisbah board for allegedly taking a young woman to his house.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the arrested pharmacist reportedly took the young woman to his house located at Sabuwar Gandu area of Kano.
This development was confirmed by the commander general of the board, Harun Ibn-Sina via a statement issued in Kano on Friday.
Ibn-Sina explained that the arrest was carried out after the corps received reports from residents of the area.
“The young woman went to buy drugs from Zakari’s chemist when he took her to his house,” he said.
Reacting to the alleged action, he said the board would ensure that the development is thoroughly investigated.
He asked parents to closely monitor the movement of their children, particularly female wards to avoid unwanted incidents.
Meanwhile, the Kano Hisbah board had earlier placed a ban on the use of mannequins at shops, public and private places by tailors and boutique owners for clothes display.
Hisbah is a religious corps responsible for the implementation of Shariah law in Kano.
