Out of favour Arsenal winger emerges as target for Feyernoord after Manchester United injury hands them boost

Amad Diallo deal off

It was thought that Eredevise Feyenoord were on the verge of completing the loan signing of Manchester United and Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo on loan ahead of the end of the transfer window.

The winger has fallen further down the pecking order following the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Solskjaer hinted that a move was in the works, saying that:

“Yes I do [expect him to go out on loan].

“It’s not 100 per cent signed but we’ve agreed. I don’t have to say which team it is yet [smiles], but we’ve found a place that Amad feels excited about and we feel excited about.”

However, following an injury sustained in training, Fabrizio Romano reports that the move has “definitely collapsed”, with the player now set to remain in Manchester for at least the first half of the season.

Nelson an option

However, pain for Diallo may open a new avenue for Arsenal. This comes as the Dutch club have turned their loan attentions to Arsenal wide man Reiss Nelson, who has fallen out of favour at the Emirates.

A loan move would be perfect for both parties, although Arsenal are thought to be keen to offer their youngster a new contract before they sanction any loan move, with Nelson set to have just 12 months to run upon returning from any spell away.

However, his career has stalled in north London, and he needs a spark to reignite it. Feyenoord could well prove to be just that.
