Oppo Pad 2 and Enco Free3 TWS announced

Alongside the new flagship smartphones Find X6 and Find X6 Pro, Oppo has announced its third Android tablet – the Oppo Pad 2 which follows on from last year’s Oppo Pad. Oppo also introduced its latest TWS headphones in its Enco series – the Enco Free3.

Oppo Pad 2 brings nearly identical design and specs to the recently launched OnePlus Pad tablet. Oppo Pad 2 has the same 11.6-inch LTPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 x 2800 px and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The other interesting element is the 7: 5 aspect ratio which leaves room for more vertical content and should be useful for multitasking.

Moving on to the chipset – Oppo Pad 2 brings MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC paired with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage which is not expandable via microSD card. There’s a 13MP main camera on the back and an 8MP shooter on the front.

The software front is covered by ColorOS for Pad. The new tablet also supports the Oppo Pencil 2 which is sold separately and promises 2ms latency and 4096 levels of pressure. The battery is rated at 9,510mAh and charges fairly quickly at 67W

Oppo Pad 2 is available in Nebula Gray and Feather Gold colors. The 8/256 GB model is priced at CNY 2,999 ($436), the 12/256 GB morel is priced at CNY 3,399 ($495) while the high-end 12/512 GB version is priced at CNY 3,999 ( $582). Open sales in China begin on March 24.

Oppo Enco Free3

The Oppo Enco Free3 headphones arrive with Hi-Res Audio streaming via LDAC codec and also feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The headphones offer active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as spatial sound for a more immersive listening experience.

The cone speakers have been made with bamboo fiber materials which are 60% lighter than traditional speakers and also provide improved internal damping and vibration absorption. Battery life is rated at 30 hours with the charging case. The buds are also IP55 dust and splash proof.

Oppo Enco Free3 is available in green and white and costs CNY 499 ($73) in China. Open sales begin there on April 3.
