“Our first foldable phone will deliver the fast and smooth OnePlus experience. It must be a flagship phone that does not settle because of its foldable form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology and other aspects. We want launch a device that aims to be at the forefront of today’s foldable market experience,” said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus during the company’s MWC roundtable.
Speaking to TechCrunch, Liu said the foldable will have a book form factor, which means more along the lines of the Galaxy Z Fold than the Galaxy Z Flip. It remains to be seen whether it will be a completely new device or perhaps a modified and renamed version of the Oppo Find N2.
The company had nothing more to say at this time or any images to share. Potentially the best glimpse we have of this device is the teaser image above of the OnePlus 11 global launch, which shrinks the launch window to Q3 2023. Then we’ll see what the company has in store for us.
