Ahead of its global debut on February 7, the OnePlus 11 was officially announced in its home Chinese market. Despite lacking a Pro in its name, the phone is a full-fledged flagship with the latest and greatest chipset, memory and cameras.

The SoC is Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and OnePlus executives said on stage that the chipset will be fully operational at maximum capacity. Normally that wouldn’t be a noteworthy remark, but it could well indicate that OnePlus is done with its past practices of throttling performance to increase battery life and control thermals.

The phone comes with 12GB or 16GB of the latest LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The OnePlus 11 is built around a new 6.7″ AMOLED LTPO 3.0 display with 1440p resolution. It can refresh at a refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz with over 100 apps promised to support granular adjustment.

The Hasselblad camera on the back of the OnePlus 11 has been upgraded to a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with multi-directional PDAF and OIS. There’s a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle shooter with autofocus that lets you serve a macro camera and a 32 MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto lens.

The 16MP selfie camera sits inside a punch hole in the top left corner.

The camera setup is apparently identical to that of the Oppo Find N2, but that’s no surprise as the two brands recently announced a new strategic partnership. After reviewing it, we found its performance really impressive and it could do even better with the new Snapdragon chip.

The OnePlus 11’s battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh, like its predecessor. However, this time it can reach 100W charging speed over the wire. However, wireless charging is not on the menu.

Gamers will appreciate the X-axis vibration motor, which is 602 cu.mm – the largest in a smartphone to date according to the company’s claims.
