“One Step at a Time”: Maria Sharapova Reveals Her Daily Mantra of Being in the Present

Former Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova has revealed that taking “one step at a time” helps her stay in the present instead of getting too carried away with chasing her goals and setting her priorities. The five-time Grand Slam champion added that often, she gets “way too ahead” of herself in making her plans and that’s when she reminds herself to slow down and take a step at a time.

“My daily mantra is one step at a time. I feel that sometimes I get way too ahead of myself with my goals and my priorities and sometimes it certainly gets in the way of being present,” the two-time French Open champion said.
