Obi Wan Kenobi Star Ewan McGregor hit back at people targeting fellow Star Wars actor Moses Ingram with racial slurs on Wednesday, saying they are not real fans.

Ingram – who stars alongside McGregor in Obi Wan Kenobi — highlighted racist messages she had received online in a story on her Instagram account, prompting her to respond with a video on the site.

“We support Moses. We love Moses. And if you’re sending him bullying messages, you’re not a Star Wars fan in my mind,” said McGregor, who plays the titular character in the Star Wars series.

“She brings so much to the show, she brings so much to the franchise. And it hurt my stomach for that to happen,” McGregor added.

The Star Wars Twitter account also took aim at those attacking Ingram, a black actress who plays a Jedi hunter inquisitor in the Disney+ series, available on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
