Nubia Z50 Ultra was launched by the company on Tuesday. The ZTE sub-brand launched its Z50 smartphone in December. The Nubia Z50 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The unique hardware features of the recently launched smartphone are its notchless AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels and an Under-Display Camera (UDC) for selfies and video calls . The phone is also equipped with a 64-megapixel triple rear camera. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Nubia Z50 Ultra price, availability

The standard Nubia Z50 Ultra is available in black and gray color options. The phone is priced at CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 47,200) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, CNY 4,299 (around Rs. 50,600) for the 12GB + 256GB variant and CNY 4,699 (around Rs. 55,500). ) for the 12GB + 512GB model. For the top-end 16GB + 1TB model, the Nubia Z50 Ultra is priced at CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 70,800).

Meanwhile, the Nubia Z50 Ultra Starry Night Collector’s Edition costs CNY 4,999 (around Rs 59,000) and comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The special edition phone comes in blue and is inspired by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh’s famous painting Starry Night.

All variants of the Z50 Ultra are available for pre-order in China and the first sale will start on March 14.

Nubia’s latest smartphone features a notch-free and punch-hole-free 6.8-inch OLED display that offers a full-screen experience. The display has Full HD+ resolution (1,116 x 2,480 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming. It also offers a maximum brightness of 1500 nits, 10-bit color support and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra runs on MyOS 13 based on Android 13 and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

For optics, it has a 64-megapixel 35mm Sony IMX787 main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 64-megapixel 85mm periscope zoom camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera that also functions as a macro camera. A ring LED flash and multi-channel spectral sensors help the rear cameras.

The dual SIM-enabled Z50 Ultra features a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16E1Q Under-Display Camera (UDC) with a super-wide pixel size of 2.24m specially designed for the device. According to the company, light transmission has improved by 30%, allowing the Z50 Ultra to capture improved selfies compared to its predecessor. AI super detection engine and image super transparency enhancement technology contribute to a 50% increase in screen transparency.

The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It also offers 802.11ax Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, IR blaster, X-axis linear motor, and USB port connectivity Type-C and comes with a large 4212mm2 vapor chamber liquid cooling unit.
