nubia Z50 announced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and 35mm main camera
Nubia’s latest Z series flagship is here with the nubia Z50 and it brings the best of the brand with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a 35mm equivalent primary camera.
There’s a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED on the front with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is interrupted by a small punch-hole cutout for the 16MP selfie camera. Nubia has equipped the device with stereo speakers tuned with DTS:X Ultra and Snapdragon Sound.

The camera department brings a custom 64MP Sony IMX 787 main camera with a 1/1.3″ sensor size and a 35mm equivalent lens that should be perfect for portraits. The second sensor on the back is a 50MP (14mm equivalent) ultra-wide module with autofocus that doubles as a macro camera.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage while the software side is covered by MyOS 13 on top of Android 13. The phone also has a battery of 5000mAh with 80W wired charging.

Nubia Z50 is available in black, white and green. The entry-level 8/128 GB version will cost CNY 2,999 ($430). There is a 12/256 GB version for CNY 3,699 ($530) as well as a 12/512 GB model for CNY 3,999 ($573). The top-end version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage will sell for CNY 5,999 ($860). Open sales in China begin on December 23.
