New Honor 80 Pro appears in renders, will only sell offline
The Honor 80 family has four members, and it looks like a fifth is on the way. A new device has appeared online with a flat screen and camera island, just like the 80 Pro, and sources say it will also be called “Honor 80 Pro”.
However, the next device will have a new display with a single selfie camera behind the punch hole and a slightly different set of shooters on the back. The twist is that it will only be for the offline market and will not be available on the company’s website.
The new Honor 80 Pro is said to bring a 6.67-inch OLED with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. The cameras on the rear will retain the 160MP main shooter, but instead of 50MP the ultra-wide-angle camera is just 8MP; the 2 MP depth sensor is here to stay.
The selfie camera is also downgraded in addition to being a single one – a mere 32MP, compared to the original Honor 80 Pro’s 50MP + 2MP. The new Honor 80 phone will stick to a 4,800mAh battery and 66W fast charging despite the slightly smaller body.
The device is expected to arrive in China in early January.
