Nehawu Day of Action: Memorandum to be handed over to Presidency, Health Deputy Minister

On Thursday afternoon, over 100 Nehawu members gathered at the Union Buildings and were ready to give in their memorandum of demands to the office of the Presidency

On Thursday, members of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union gathered in Pretoria, right in front of the Union Buildings for their national day of action.

The members cried out for safer working conditions to its frontline workers in the battle against COVID-19.

Over 100 Nehawu members were ready to give in their memorandum of demands to the office of the Presidency.

In attendance was Joe Phaahla, Deputy Health Minister, who was ready to accept the memorandum.

The South African Communist Party’s Solly Mapaila said:

Workers cannot borrow power to unscrupulous people that are divided into factions and have no concern for society, except how to amass resources for themselves.”
