Motorola Razr Lite Design Leaks in Detailed Concept Renders Hinting at Tiny Cover Display: Report
Motorola Razr Plus has appeared in several leaks lately. Very little is known about the “Plus” model of the upcoming foldable, but we do know that it carries the model number XT2321. We also know the phone will feature 30W fast charging and a 2,850mAh battery. While the phone has appeared on several certification websites so far, the specifications of the handset are still under wraps. Meanwhile, a previously unknown new device dubbed the Motorola Razr Lite has surfaced online with early concept renders giving enthusiasts an idea of what to expect from the alleged foldable phone.
To be clear, the designs leaked by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer @OnLeaks in conjunction with MySmartPrice, are not official renders of the foldable phone. However, the source claims that these are based on poor quality images from the official device. The renders reveal a new design philosophy with curved edges around the two halves of the clamshell. The design looks quite modern. The exterior display appears to be small and minimalist in rendering, and displays the time next to the camera module. It’s unclear if this external display will be used to relay notifications, and reminds us of the screens of Samsung’s previous Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G models, which also had limited functionality compared to the southern conglomerate’s recent clamshell foldables. Korean.
The rumored foldable’s interior screen also appears to have noticeably thick bezels. The rear panel sports a Motorola bat logo in a dimple. The two halves of the collapsible shell also appear to fold flat against each other with no visible gap. The phone appears to have three cameras in all, one on the inner flip-up display and two on the back along the outer display.
From the small exterior screen and thicker interior bezels, it looks like the phone in the renders could be an affordable clamshell foldable handset, which would be a first for any smartphone brand. The device’s current label as “Razr Lite” also suggests that it will be priced lower than the Moto Razr series. However, the tipster also claims that the device in the renders could also be called the Motorola Razr 2023.
Since these are not official renders but an artist’s impression based on poor quality images, chances are the final design will look a little different. It would be advisable to take the leaked information and images with a pinch of salt as the company has yet to make an official announcement regarding the handset.
