Motorola Moto G72 in review

Say hello to the Moto G72 – a capable mid-range phone with content consumption in mind. It comes with a USB cable, protective case and 33W charger, although in some markets you’ll also get headphones.

These would terminate on the good old 3.5mm connector, as the Moto G72 has an integrated audio jack. And it’s also useful, supporting Dolby Atmos. The stereo speakers on board the Moto G72 are also Dolby Atmos compatible.

Unboxing the Moto G72

Continuing the thread of content consumption, the Moto G72 also has an excellent display – a 6.55-inch OLED with 1080p resolution and HDR10+ support. It’s also buttery smooth at 120Hz.

Moving further down the spec sheet, the Moto G72 has a sufficient 5,000mAh battery which should last quite a bit – although we’ll have to verify that in our review.

Finally, the Moto G72 packs a 108MP main camera that packs 9 to 1 pixels for 12MP shots. Next to it are an ultra wide and a macro. A MediaTek Helio G99 handles image processing as well as the rest of the computing tasks.

Those are impressive specs for a $280 phone, but the actual performance is good enough. Stay tuned for our full review, coming right after New Years!
