Mother of murdered soldier is seeking for answers
Soldier Sesethu Ntlabathi received two gun shots on his chest by a colleague in June.
During the lockdown, he was on deployment in Kimberly.
His mother said both the SANDF and the Defence Minister has been met with silence.
“They told us that these boys had a fight before and they thought everything was resolved,” said Lindelwa Ntlabathi.
“Up until they heard that this one shot my son, Sesethu.”
His mother, who is a military veteran said she has a lot of questions to be answered.
She has also sent a written note to Defence Minister – Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, but she has not received a feedback yet since July.
“From the SANDF, I need answers. I wrote to the minister. I gave her the background of what I want,” she said.
“I don’t need compensation. That is not going to bring my son back. Even if they give me a million.”
“I need answers from the SANDF.”
SANDF said the accused man, who was allegedly involved in the death of Ntlabathi is expected to come before the court soon.
However, Ntlabathi has a pregnant girlfriend who he left behind.
