Michy Batshuayi appears to confirm Chelsea departure, as 2 Blues full-backs inch towards exit door
Out-of-favour Chelsea attacker Michy Batshuayi has this evening taken to social media, to seemingly confirm his imminent departure from the club.
Belgian hitman Batshuayi is of course fresh off the back of another altogether underwhelming campaign.
After being afforded a paltry single Premier League start by Frank Lampard across the 2019/20 campaign, it came as little surprise when the 27-year-old was subsequently farmed out on loan last summer.
The ‘Batsman’ linked up with Crystal Palace, marking a 2nd temporary stint with Chelsea’s capital rivals.
After finding the net five times in just 11 league appearances across his first spell at Selhurst Park, however, his 2nd stint with the Eagles proved considerably less productive.
Batshuayi went on to notch just a pair of goals across the entirety of the 2020/21 campaign.
Such production was always unlikely to result in those in a position of power at Palace sanctioning a permanent move for the hitman, with a return to Chelsea, in turn, having been forthcoming earlier this summer.
With all of big-money talents Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and now, of course, Romelu Lukaku ahead of him in the attacking pecking order back at Stamford Bridge, however, another Stamford Bridge exit always looked the most likely outcome for Batshuayi ahead of the new season getting underway across Europe.
And, as outlined above, on Monday, the Belgian international has seemingly confirmed exactly that.
Taking to social media, Batshuayi posted a photo of himself summoning a black eagle. This comes as a reference to the nickname of Turkish giants Besiktas, with the striker evidently on the verge of a move to Vodafone Park:

The exits from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad, however, look unlikely to end there.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta are drawing interest, from France and Italy respectively:
OL are in contact with Chelsea for Emerson Palmieri as new left back, confirmed as @lequipe reported. He’s one of the options. 🇫🇷 #OL
Chelsea have also received approaches from Italian clubs for Zappacosta – Batshuayi will sign tomorrow as new Besiktas player on loan. 🔵 #CFC
