Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff Puts His Prized ‘Ferrari’ Cars up for Sale

Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff is an enigmatic presence in the F1 paddock. Since taking over as Team Principal in 2014, the Austrian led Mercedes to seven back-to-back championship victories.

However, like every individual, Wolff has interests outside of F1, one of which is his car collection. The 49-year-old will be selling some of those cars, which noted supercar specialist Tom Hartley Junior posted on Instagram.

Mercedes CEO Toto Wolff to sell all of his Ferrari cars

The Mercedes Team Principal is enduring one of the toughest title defences in his F1 career. Although their dominance in the sport over the past seven years is incredible, they don’t look quite the same team this year. With Red Bull posing a bigger threat to their title defence than recent years, the Austrian needs to motivate his team in order to stay in the hunt for their eighth consecutive world title.

While he faces a tough season in the paddock, he made time to tend to his car collection off-track. The Austrian owns a few cars which the world would envy. Wolff will sell some of those cars through Briton Tom Hartley Junior, who is an expert in selling supercars.

The Briton shared a recent post outlining the cars which Wolff is selling. In his post, Hartley outlined the Austrian’s busy schedule doesn’t allow him to drive these cars anymore, while putting in a witty line for owning Ferrari cars.

According to the Briton, Wolff is selling a Ferrari Enzo which clocked just over 2,000kms along with a LaFerrari Aperta which he claims is as good as new. In addition, Wolff bought the Ferrari Enzo from Hartley Junior himself in 2014.

Wolff also parting ways with a Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

Although the Austrian holds a 33% stake in the Mercedes F1 team, he will let go of an exquisite SL65 AMG Black Series car. Hartley Junior pointed out that Wolff didn’t want to sell it, but he convinced the 49-year-old to do so.

In addition, the Briton mentioned Wolff was one of the four development drivers for the Black Series, which shows how attached the Austrian is to this car.

Although Hartley Junior is yet to reveal the price of these cars, one can expect a sizeable price tag running into the millions.
