MediaTek Helio G36 announced – G37 with 100 MHz lower CPU clock

MediaTek’s latest entry-level chipset is here with the Helio G36. In most cases, it’s a rebranded Helio G37 with a 100 MHz clock reduction on its Cortex-A53 cores which now run at 2.2 GHz instead of 2.3 GHz. The rest of the specifications provided show no difference between the old chip and the new one.

The MediaTek Helio G36 is expected to debut as a budget gaming phone soon to be launched in India. Last year’s Helio G37 debuted on the Moto G22, but there’s no indication which manufacturer will release the newer Helio G36.
