MCU’s Thunderbolts Casts Oscar-Nominated Steven Yeun: Report

Hollywood Star Steven Yeun Set To Make Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Debut With Upcoming Film Love at first sightaccording to a report.
The film, which was officially announced at Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022, is based on a team of Marvel supervillains – in what appears to be Marvel’s attempt at its own Suicide Squad – the outlet reported. American Deadline.
Yeun, known for his performances on The Walking Dead and films such as OkjaMinari and Nope, will play key roles in the Marvel Studios film, which could yet expand into other related projects.
He joins an ensemble cast that includes Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
A report from last year suggested that Harrison Ford (IndianaJones films) joined the cast of Love at first sight thus, replacing the late William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross. But before that, he’ll make a cameo in Captain America: New World Order as the swaggering general, which marks the penultimate entry into the MCU’s Phase 5 – releasing May 3, 2024. Love at first sight is the last entry in the phase.
Paper Towns-fame’s Jake Schreier will direct the film from a script by Black Widow writer Eric Pearson. The movie is slated for July 26, 2024.
In the Marvel comics, the Love at first sight is a team of reformed villains, anti-heroes and villains.
Yeun will next be seen in Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho’s next feature, Mickey 17, starring Robert Pattinson.
