Martin Odegaard explains why he decided to sign for Arsenal
Arsenal re-sign Martin Odegaard
One of Arsenal’s biggest signings of the summer transfer window saw them sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.
The Norwegian had previously spent the second half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan in north London.
During this period, Odegaard would provide some much-needed creativity to an Arsenal sign that was relying heavily on Emile Smith Rowe in the no.10 role.
And, on August 20th, Arsenal officially confirmed that Odegaard had returned to the Emirates on a permanent basis:

Why Odegaard chose Arsenal
Odegaard’s return to England has not gone that well so far though.
Arsenal have lost their opening three games of a Premier League season for the first time ever, though Odegaard did only feature in one of those games – starting in central midfield as Manchester City put five past Bernd Leno.
The 22-year-old has now linked up with Norway for the international break and has been speaking to the press recently.
When doing so, Odegaard was asked why he chose to sign for the Gunners, replying:
“I wanted stability. I wanted to settle down somewhere with a lot of good players who want to establish the club back in the top, with a good manager. That’s why I think Arsenal is pretty perfect for me.”
