Manchester United are interested in signing Dan-Axel Zagadou, according to reports coming out of France.
Who is Dan-Axel Zagadou?
Dan-Axel Zagadou is currently plying his trade in Germany with Borussia Dortmund.
Zagadou would sign for Dortmund back in 2017, leaving PSG at a young age on a free transfer.
Since his switch to Germany, Zagadou has been in and out of BVB’s team, but has never really been able to hold down a starting spot for too long.
This campaign, for example, Zagadou would miss the start of 2021/22 due to injury, but even after his return, he struggled for minutes.
The 22-year-old has since featured in Dortmund’s last three league ties, but it is clear that he is not a first-choice option at Signal Iduna Park.
Manchester United eyeing Zagadou
So, when his contract is up in the summer, there is probably a decent chance Zagadou will leave Dortmund for nothing.
And, now we are in January, the stopper is free to sign pre-contract agreements with any club.
One club seemingly looking to take advantage of this is Manchester United.
According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouma, Manchester United are tracking the Dortmund star for next season, with Ralf Rangnick believed to have started negotiations with Zagadou’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, already:
