Manchester United & Nike issue statements in response to Mason Greenwood allegations
Premier League giants Manchester United have released an official statement, in response to allegations that first-team star Mason Greenwood attacked and assaulted a woman.
For those not aware, early on Sunday morning, a series of photos, videos and audio clips were posted on the Instagram account of Harriet Robson, understood to be Greenwood’s girlfriend.
The posts in question, which have since been deleted, saw the English international accused of physically assaulting Robson.
Manchester United, for their part, have subsequently released a statement regarding the matter, confirming that they are “aware” of the allegations levied against Greenwood, whilst “not condoning violence of any kind”:

The Greater Manchester Police, meanwhile, have added that they too are “aware of images and videos circulating on social media”, whilst working to “establish the full circumstances.”
‘Deeply concerned’
Last up, Nike, an official sponsor for Greenwood, have too broken their silence on Sunday.
In quotes provided to reliable outlet The Athletic, a spokesperson for the powerhouse sports brand confirmed that they too have been left “deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations.”
The multinational corporation therefore intend to “continue to closely monitor the situation.”
