Man United handed a boost as Michail Antonio breaks FPL hearts vs Southampton
West Ham United’s stalemate with Southampton this afternoon proved costly in much more than simply a pair of dropped points…
The Hammers of course made the trip to St. Mary’s a short time ago, for a meeting with the Saints.
David Moyes’ men headed into proceedings aiming to keep alive a fine start to the campaign, which saw them secure a none-too-shabby 7 points from 9, ahead of the international break.
When all was said and done on Saturday, however, West Ham were ultimately held to their 2nd successive stalemate.
A hard-fought affair, during which clear-cut chances were at a premium, saw both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils, courtesy of a 0-0 final scoreline.

Red Devils absence incoming
And, as outlined above, their latest dropped points came as far from the only blow for the visitors at St. Mary’s this afternoon.
This came with West Ham having also seen star man Michail Antonio sent for an early bath, for a 2nd bookable offence with 95 minutes on the clock.

Hitman Antonio has of course enjoyed a scintillating start to the season, and, before today, had racked up 4 goals and 3 assists in just three Premier League appearances.
His absence next time out will therefore be sorely felt, as the 31-year-old prepares for a one-match ban.
The side set to benefit from Antonio missing out, though? Manchester United, next Sunday afternoon:
