Man Shares How His Mum Who Was Committed Christian Died From Staying In Abusive Marriage With His Father, An Elder

A Nigerian man identified as Abel has shared on the bird app the story of how his mother died from an abusive marriage.

According to @abelpeter, his father was appointed as an elder in the church by the church council members and on that fateful day he made a complaint to his pastor about his dad’s actions which resulted in his mother’s hospitalization.

Going further with his narration, he recounted the many times his mother suffered the abuse from his father however the pastor and his wife were all about encouraging his mother with quotations from the bible to endure the unbearable.

Psalm 90 and Psalm 40 were the most popular quotations his pastor and his wife offered to his mother to strengthen her however, things went extremely bad after she followed some spiritual instructions from the pastor which were perceived as rituals in his father’s eyes.

Her mother fell unconscious and went into coma for 2 days after his dad smashed her head with a bottle of beer. Unluckily, she gave up the ghost and his dad moved on to marry another woman.

While officiating the new wedding, the pastor told his dad;

Behold old things have passed away… life must go on….
